Best News of the Week (at least for me)

Black Rock Shooter: The Game's opening video was released recently. I'm not a big fan of developers releasing opening videos way before the game's release but I'm a huge BRS fan and the temptation was too grand.

Black Rock Shooter: The Game Finally Unveiled!!!

Turns out it's a shooter with RPG elements. Imageepoch finally spilled the beans.

The year is 2051 and aliens have wiped out Earth. Twelve people have survived and it's up to them to make a stand. This whole "She will wake up" stuff reminds me of Gungrave: Overdose. Grave had to wake to annihilate an alien threat. Oh well. Summer 2011 in Japan of course is the date.

Check out the Gungrave games though if you've never played them. Pretty decent games.

Valkyria Chronicles 3?

Most likely and hopefully it's on the PS3. I hope due the reception of the first game AND the recent Valkyria Chronicles 2 on PSP. The teaser site, http://code1935.jp/, shows a silhouette of the characters and it says "Not to be opened till 9.16," which is the beginning of the Tokyo Game Show. Fifteen more days to go! That teaser site looks similar to another teaser site......http://brs.jrpg.jp/. Black Rock Shooter! This title is also registered under Sega. Hopefully all of these mystery teasers will be revealed during TGS.
