Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception Revealed

There's nothing like waking up to good news! Some details have finally been revealed on Uncharted 3! Releasing late next year, the game will explore the theme of deception. Amy Hennig, Naughty Dog's creative director says the theme of deception will play out in multiple ways. It will have Drake doing the deceiving and also have Drake being deceived to some mysterious deception about his very own identity. Sounds confusing. (like Inception confusing)

The story will also focus on the Drake’s relationship with Victor “Sully” Sullivan, Sully has him searching for a legendary lost city that will ultimately take him to the Arabian Peninsula and the vast wasteland of the Rub’ al Khali Desert. Hennig said the inspiration came from Naughty Dog’s desire to take on the challenge of conceiving and building out gameplay scenarios within a desert locale,

Naughty Dog is also making several gameplay tweaks such as fighting more than one enemy at once. Much effort is being placed into the online multiplayer as well. Naughty Dog states they want to compete with the "big boys". I definitely thought Uncharted 2 had deeper multiplayer experience than Halo and Call of Duty. I certainly had more options to take on opponents besides hiding by either standing or crouching behind a wall..... A preview for the trailer and more details are located at PopWatch. The full trailer will be revealed this Saturday at the Spike Video Games. I can never take those awards seriously. At least I have a reason to watch now!
