Nintendo Admits A New Console Is Coming

Nintendo Japan recently announced that a new console is coming in 2012 and we will have our first look at it at this year's E3. You and me. We have to go to E3. Everyone's been throwing out designs and features that this new console will come out with. I've yet to throw out any so here it does...or at least what I wish:

A master sword for all Zelda games.

Mario's hat so I can be granted the ability to throw virtual fireballs at enemies on screen.












Okay. Enough bullshitting. Nintendo isn't playing around. At least I don't think they are. Nintendo has waited around long enough and they've sat and watched as the other two competitors tried to copy the motion game (and slightly succeeded. Err maybe just the Kinect). I think Nintendo is going to set the bar high this time. We already can assume HD but what else does Nintendo have up their sleeve? Achievements? (I hope to God not) More motion control? Touch screen devices?

• DS/3DS 

What I really hope to see is some kind of connectivity with the handhelds.  I haven't had any console/handheld fun since The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures.

• Online Features 

Multiplayer is a huge feature for most gamers these so why not try to capture that crowd.

• Controller

I'm definitely not a big fan of the Wii remotes. Make a controller that's accessible to everyone. I haven't completely not one game with the Wii remote. Classic!

• Pokemon

May I plz haz a good pokeman game. can i haz actual pokeman noises too? I can't comprehend EEOOooEEErrrr!!!!

The Only Nintendo 3DS Game I'm Looking Forward To

This game is Rodea the Sky Soldier. It's being developed by Prope. Probe is a studio led by Yuji Naka, one of the original creators of Sonic. Rodea is being released on the Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii. It's trademarked in the states so it better damn well come out over here. As of now, it's one of the only reasons for me buying a 3DS.

Looking Back At The 2010 Video Game Awards.......

I was at work when the show first started. I was so eager to get off to catch these new trailers. I came just in time to catch the Uncharted 3 trailer. Excitement! And then I caught game of the year which was Red Dead Redemption. While I can agree with that, where was a major Wii or PC title? No Starcraft 2? Super Mario Galaxy 2 was even nominated. Are we being biased toward Japanese games? Would it not seem right for a Japanese title to takes this "coveted" award? I caught the rerun. As I watched the intro I knew this show was doomed from the start. Neil Patrick Harris and his failed gunshots. That must've been the practice run.

Now let's get to some of these awards and who I thought should have won.

Best Downloadable Game: Costume Quest
Who Should've Won: Monday Night Combat or Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game

Monday Night Combat is a solid online multiplayer game. It may not be Team Fortress 2 but the class based game play is pretty decent. On top of that, the developers love us. FREE DLC.

Best Handheld Game: God of War: Ghost of Sparta
Who Should've Won: Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker

I really had a problem with this category^. How can you mention handheld games and have Pokemon not even be nominated?!

Best PS3 Game: God of War III

My problem is Red Dead Redemption being a nominee. And the funny thing about it is that you know, I know, and everyone there knows that the game isn't an exclusive. So why the %&$! was it nominated?

Best Driving Game: Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit
Who Should've Won: Modnation Racers

Modnation Racers is one of the best racers out there. The gameplay is similar to Mario Kart but it takes the concept further by being able to upgrade your weapons. You are also given the ability to defend yourself as well. And the customization is so damn deep. The possibilities are indeed endless. Modnation Racers is powered by an amazing community too. Search for any popular car or character and I promise you'll find it. If not, then you can create it!

Best Perfomance by a Human Male: Neil Patrick Harris as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions
Who Should've Won: someone else



Why? This seems like a gimmick for him to win. There's also tons of others who deserve this award. Why wasn't TC Carson nominated either? He does an EXCEPTIONAL job as Kratos. I can't believe he went out of his way to voice those silly scenes for the show.

Strongest Heroes of All Time: Master Chief, Samus Aran, and Marcus Fenix
Who Should've Won: Kratos or Mario

*breathe*......HOW DOES BEING ABLE TO USE A FUCKING GUN MAKE YOU STRONG. Strength is being able to punch mountains and uppercut a person into the atmosphere. Strength for Master Chief would being picking a warthog and smashing an Elite with it. I'm pretty sure if Samus and real strength she would not be rolling around a suit that can fire and huge laser beam. And if Marcus Fenix had strength, instead of chainsawing Locust, he would take his bare hands and split them down the middle. Kratos took down gods. Mario is smashing stuff with his feet, smacking ememies with a cape or tail, and RUNNING THROUGH LEVELS AS A GIANT.

With all that being said, screw the VGAs. The ratings dropped again this year. Us purchasing the games have a greater value than a VGA. Hopefully in the future, video games will get a grand award show like the Grammy's and get televised on one of the big networks. But like most games, it's probably a fantasy. And Spike TV, you need to stop.

Super Mario Collection Special Pack Coming to Japan

The collection is Super Mario All-Stars on a Wii disc. The pack contains:

• Super Mario All-Stars
• a soundtrack (covers the original Super Mario Bros. all the way up to Super Mario Galaxy 2)
• a booklet containing items such as unreleased artwork

The pack will be released on October 21st in Japan for 2,500 yen.

New Naruto Fighter Coming to the Wii

A scan from Shonen Jump shows Naruto Shippuden: Gekito Ninja Taisen SP. It's the sequel in the Gekito Ninja Taisen (Clash of Ninja) series. It's coming out December 2nd in Japan. Hopefully this game will get released in the U.S. for the Wii since PS3 and Xbox 360 owners will be getting Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 this October. If all else fails, there's always importing for the region free Wii!

Tales of Graces F Has a Release Date

And that day is December 2nd for the HD Wii remake! Only in Japan though D: So now I'm expecting this and the "perfect" Tales of Vesperia (give it to us damnit!) to be released in the states. Here's a closer at the extra costumes for pre-ordering.

Snoop Dogg DLC Coming to Rock Band Next Week

Next week September 7th, the Snoop Dogg Track Pack 01 "drops it like it's hot" on Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii owners. There's a total of 8 songs which are:

Tales of Graces F Demo Coming this Month...

...to the Japanese Playstation Network. Tales of Graces F is a PS3 port of the original game that was released on the Wii that was recalled due to the numerous amount of bugs the game had. This familiar move is the same case that was done with Tales of Vesperia on the Xbox 360. Sankaku Complex happily calls the original versions beta and the purchasers of the products the beta testers. Is Namco Tales Studio doing this on purpose? Are PS3 versions secretly being funded? Hell, we didn't even get the US release of Tales of Vesperia even though there seems to be high demand for it here. Looking at the scan below from Shonen Jump, if you pre-order the game, you receive a DVD with an extra scene, a PS3 theme, and three extra outfits.

The music is so-so but at least the gameplay looks a little promising. I'm more excited for Sonic the Hedgehog 4 though.
