I'M STILL HERE

I haven't in about two months but I'm still here. I've been busy with some awesome stuff that I can't reveal just yet, but during my hiatus I just realized something...

I need to get back to finishing Resonance of Fate.

Hatsune Miku Project Diva Extend Commercial

Here's a brief (and I mean brief) taste of what you'll be getting into with the latest Miku game on the PSP. The game, originally titled Project Diva 2.5, will feature new songs as well as new modules (costumes). Compatibility to Dreamy Theater 2nd has yet to be mentioned. Project Diva Extend will be out on November 10 this year.

Project Diva Dreamy Theater 2nd Release Date

We so excited! Or rather I am. I just figured out how to edit songs on the PSP titles and transfer them to the first Dreamy Theater so it's more rewarding. Sega is delivering the game on August 4th for ¥3,900. A little more expensive than the first (¥3000), but I can live with that thanks to the added features. Dreamy theater the 2nd is touting the gameplay tweaks that came along with Project Diva 2nd such as the double notes and held notes. Also, Dreamy Theater 2nd will have 3D support which is awesome for people who have 3D TVs and pointless for people like me (I dont think 3D technology has fully been grasped in the States). Last but not least, if you've downloaded an DLC costumes, they'll appear in the game as well.

Hatsune Miku Has Found a Home in the U.S.

Popular virtual idol, Hatsune Miku, has finally landed a real home in the U.S. Announced yesterday, Viz Media has acquired product licensing rights. They plan on showing her off at the 2011 Licensing International Expo that's held in Las Vegas on June 14-16th. They'll be located in Booth #2481. I only ask that they please don't use MAN MIKU below.

Hope

Hatsune Miku has somewhat invaded the U.S. if this commercial is actually airing on TV. Miku should be getting her English voice soon so maybe there's hope that the Project Diva games might actually come out over here!

Also, the shorter the better because the long version of this commercial is pretty darn bad.

More Perverted Antics on the Kinect: Hatsune Miku Style

Hatsune Miku is probably the most well known victim of the Kinect lately. I wouldn't have used the term victim until this video came out. I knew someone would eventually make this type of "connection" with her.

I know many are excited by this but I'm definitely not. :/ MikuMiku Dance + Kinect on the other hand amuses me though!

Want Hatsune Miku To Have An English Voice?

You can help her get one by liking her English Facebook page! Hatsune Miku creators Hiroyuki Ito and Wataru Sasaki stated that if her page receives 39,390 likes it could happen! We can do it! Baby steps! Maybe then will the Project Diva games and Dreamy Theater be released here!

Hatsune Miku Dreamy Theater Help

So I know there are alot of Hatsune Miku fans out there and Dreamy Theater is I guess fanservice or a thank you gift from Sega. For those who don't know who Hatsune Miku is, you can read about that here. You can also find out more information here. Anyways, let's get started. First off all you DO NOT need the UMD (even though you should. I own it!). I'm going to list step by step exactly what I did. I already have a PSP that's "tainted" and I couldn't bare to upgrade the firmware so I bought a PSP from Craigslist for 65 bucks. A slim, black, 2000 series. Win. I disagree with CFW and I do buy PSP games but I also believe that Sony should allow more freedom and creativity with it's handheld. I'll save that discussion for another day. Alright lets go!!!
  1. I tainted my PSP with Gen-A CFW. (Don't ask me what that is.). (It was running 3.80 OFW)
  2. I ran Hatsune Miku and created a brand new save file. (You cannot download someone else's save file. It has to be created from your PSP.)
  3. I updated my PSP to 6.20 OFW.
  4. I installed the Dreamy Theater PSP client on my memory stick.
  5. I started up the Dreamy Theater PSP client while at the start screen of Dreamy Theater on PS3.
  6. While at this screen to the right press circle on the PSP twice and then X on the PS3 controller.
  7. Enjoy!!!

This game also has trophies. Credits to Project Diva forum on ps3trophies.org.  The PSP is required to unlock them.

There are 3 more bronze trophies which were hidden.
  1. Play for 39 Hrs
  2. Play for 65 Hrs and 39 Mins (3939 mins)
  3. Start over 39 Times
Feel free to ask questions!!! It was pretty simple though. Got it working on the first try!
